 The AIM-quoted private equity investor China Private Equity Holdings Ltd (CPE; Ticker CPEH) has posted a 6.9% increase in net asset valuation for the year to 31 December 2011. The company said the increase reflected its initial positioning within China’s rapidly growing TMT sector, while a subsequent additional move into financial services has also established a presence in a market now set to benefit from the Chinese Government objective of shifting the country towards a consumer-based economy. Bio City Development Company BV (BCDco), a leading emerging markets’ healthcare infrastructure company, and an affiliate of the Turkish housing authority, TOKi, have formed a partnership and successfully attracted foreign investment to build a state of the art tertiary care paediatric hospital with integrated research and development facilities. BCDco has successfully completed the offering of USD200 million Convertible Bonds due 2018 (the Bonds), which may be increased by up to USD25 million prior to settlement, to finance the development of Bio City Istanbul.  An affiliate of Lyrical Partners, the New York investment firm, provided significant early stage investment in BCDco.
Venture capital firm Accel Partners has led a USD50m minority investment in YapStone, a provider of Electronic Payments as a Service (ePaaS) for property management and other vertical market segments. The new capital will be used to support the Company’s rapid growth, specifically for continued investment in its core technology platform to serve current and new vertical markets. The capital will also be used to support international expansion and fund opportunistic acquisitions. Financial Technology Partners LP and FTP Securities LLC (together "FT Partners") served as exclusive strategic and financial advisor to YapStone and its Board of Directors in this transaction.
 AXA Private Equity has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Citigroup (NYSE: C) for the acquisition of a USD1.7 billion portfolio of limited partnership interests in private equity buyout funds and a portfolio of direct stakes in companies. This deal represents one of the largest ever secondary private equity transactions and confirms AXA Private Equity’s world leadership in secondary Funds of Funds.
