Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has acquired the German IT services company CS Consulting from LRPC, a fund managed by SüdBeteiligungen (a subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg), founder Berndt Blumenthal and Kurt Rommel.
The operation will be funded using the group’s net cash position.
The contract was signed yesterday under conditional approval by the relevant anti-trust authorities.

Bladon Jets, a developer of micro gas turbine engines for cars and power generation, has raised GBP500,000 in a recent funding round from members of the Oxford Investment Opportunity Network, a European technology investment network.
Bladon Jets is working with car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover on the development of a micro gas turbine engine to operate in a plug-in hybrid car.
A Jaguar C-X75 super car incorporating two Bladon Jets micro gas turbines was recently unveiled at the Paris Motor Show and the Los Angeles Motor Show.

Zoopla.co.uk, a UK property search and information website, has raised a further GBP3.25m of funding.
The funding consists of GBP1.75m of new equity finance from existing shareholders, led by venture capital firms Atlas Venture and Octopus, together with a GBP1.5m debt facility from Silicon Valley Bank, the commercial banking division of SVB Financial Group.

The Chicago office of law firm K&L Gates has appointed Robert V. Fitzsimmons as a partner in the firm’s real estate investment, development and finance practice.
He joins K&L Gates from Mayer Brown.
Fitzsimmons has extensive experience advising investment entities, banks and not-for-profit organisations in their real estate asset transactions involving cross-border and offshore structures, private equity funds, equity ventures, public and private real estate investment trusts and debt issuances.

Chicago-based private investment firm The Pritzker Group has acquired Clinical Innovations, a medical device maker specialising in healthcare solutions for women and their infants.
The acquisition is the firm’s first in the healthcare field.
The Pritzker Group acquired the Utah-based medical device maker from RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry.
Clinical Innovations develops, manufactures and markets medical devices with particular emphasis on healthcare solutions for women and their infants.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Ridgemont Equity Partners, a middle market buyout and growth equity firm, has acquired a majority investment in Unite Private Networks, a provider of high-bandwidth, fibre-based communications networks.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
UPN specialises in providing high-capacity data communications networks and related services to schools, government, carriers, data centres and enterprise business customers. UPN currently provides service in 12 states, primarily in the Midwest US.

Global Opportunistic Fund II, a pre-IPO and IPO fund managed by Global Capital Management, has concluded an exit from its investment in Evergrande Real Estate Group.
Primarily driven by the divestment of Evergrande as well as income from other investments, GOF II declared a distribution of USD61.2m representing 20 per cent of the initial committed capital as a return of capital to the investors.

Elysian Capital, a private equity fund specialising in the UK lower mid-market, has hired James Cunningham as an operating partner.
He will work alongside the investment teams in sourcing, assessing and completing acquisitions, and also in advising and mentoring management teams in Elysian Capital’s investee companies.
His role will be to supplement the work of existing operating partner and Elysian chairman Chai Patel.
Cunningham has extensive industry experience, having worked at Bunzl from 1995 to 1999 and then again from 2002 to 2009, latterly as managing director, Bunzl UK and Ireland.

Axa Private Equity has made a GBP7m investment in James Hull Associates, a UK private and NHS dental services provider.
The new funding will allow JHA to progress with its growth programme.
The investment was instituted by Axa Private Equity’s mezzanine team. It is part of a financial restructuring of JHA’s immediate holding company and has the full support of the company’s banks.
Axa Private Equity becomes the majority shareholder in the business with the remainder held by management.
