Paul Scott has been named chief investment officer and head of sponsor coverage for GE Capital’s leveraged finance business in Europe and the Middle East.
Scott will report to James Fenner, president and chief executive of GE Capital’s leveraged finance business.
Scott will focus on building long-term relationships with private equity firms through GE Capital’s coverage of mid-market sponsors. He will also oversee all secondary market investment opportunities and further develop GE Capital’s existing partnership with Mubadala GE Capital in the Middle East.

Legal practice Norton Rose has acted for Europa Capital, the European private equity real estate fund manager, on the sale of a stake to Rockefeller Group, creating a USD20bn (GBP12.7bn) fund management group.
Europa has more than EUR2bn (GBP1.8bn) in equity under management in six opportunistic European real estate funds and more than EUR6.5bn (GBP5.7bn) invested in 17 European countries since 1995.
Rockefeller Group, established in 1928 to develop the Rockefeller Centre in New York, is now owned by Japan’s Mitsubishi Estate.

Eurazeo saw a growth in consolidated revenues of 5.2 per cent on a comparable basis for the third quarter to EUR1,094.8m.
This compares to growth of 2.2 per cent in the first quarter and 3.2 per cent in the second quarter.
Revenues for first nine months totalled EUR2,987.8m, an increase of 3.6 per cent on a comparable basis.

A new endorsement from the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies aims to provide venture capital and private equity firms with enhanced insurance coverage that addresses the evolving regulatory and economic environments and increasingly complex deal structures.

Cornerstone Acquisition & Management, a sub-adviser to Centaur Performance Group, has acquired a portfolio of royalty interests in producing oil and gas properties located in Southern Oklahoma, operated by Houston-based Citation Oil and Gas.
