Steve Pagliuca, co-chairman of Bain Capital is retiring after 34 years with the private equity firm, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Pagliuca will remain a senior adviser at the firm, and will continue to be involved in the portfolio companies in which he holds a board seat. Pagliuca will also continue to be a significant investor in Bain’s funds, according to the report, with co-managing partners John Connaughton and Jonathan Lavine, who took up their roles in 2016, continuing to lead the firm. WestView Capital Partners, a Boston-based growth equity firm, has closed its oversubscribed fifth fund, WestView Capital Partners V (Fund V), at its target and hard cap of $1.0 billion of limited partner commitments. 
Private equity investor interest is building in the environment, health and safety (EHS) software market with more than 50 transactions in the past two years, a new report from independent research and advisory firm Verdantix shows. According to the report, the market for EHS software is expected to grow from $1.6 billion in 2022 to around $2.7 billion by 2027. AIM MRO Holdings, a manufacturer and supply chain manager of aftermarket aerospace repair products and materials, has acquired Tribologix, a provider of engineered surface coatings solutions.

Ares Management Corporation has held the final closing of its Infrastructure Debt Fund V, which is focused on making subordinated investments across the digital, utilities, renewables, energy and transportation sectors, at approximately $5.0 billion.
Asset management boutique Bellevue is launching its maiden investment fund focussed on the private equity secondaries market. The launch comes on the back of Bellevue’s dedicated secondaries team, consisting of Chris Davies, Steven Kroese and Lars Honegger, commencing operations on 1 December. The fund has a global remit and is primarily active in the US and Europe with target return Bellvue describes as “comparable to primary buyout funds”. Davies, Kroese and Honegger are supported by Jan Kollros, Head of Bellevue’s Private Markets unit and the CEO of its independent adbodmer subsidiary.  
Global Healthcare Opportunities and The Vistria Group have completed the acquisition of Alcami Corporation, a pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation, from funds affiliated with Madison Dearborn Partners and Ampersand Capital Partners.

UK mid-market private equity investor Livingbridge has sold Vendigital, a management consultancy focused on supply chain cost and supply challenges, to Siemens Advanta.   Founded in 2000, Vendigital combines consulting services with a proprietary digital platform to provide clients with data-led transformation programmes aimed at identifying and solving complex issues.    Since acquiring Vendigital in 2018, Livingbridge has helped the business deliver significant organic growth.
