Manhattan West Private Equity has successfully closed its inaugural fund which will target investments in the “most attractive underserved sectors” in media, entertainment and sports.  The Los Angeles-based fund will aim to provide investors with a 15% annual cash yield across the portfolio.  Investments to date include a majority stake in a new Formula 1 Exhibition, and the management buyout of live entertainment company Round Room Live, as well as a strategic growth investment in Vino Vault, a wine storage and wine services provider. Led by Managing Director of Private Equity Matt Gibbons, Manhattan West says the fund seeks opportunities
Moonfare, a global digital private equity platform, has added Jon Kamaluddin, the former chairman of Klarna, one of Europe’s biggest fintech companies, to its Global Advisory Board.

Warburg Pincus has acquired K2 Insurance Services, a speciality insurance programme manager, from private equity firm Lee Equity Partners, according to a report by Captive Insurance Times.
