Jenson Funding Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm, has successfully exited OneTouch, a digital health platform that allows home care providers to manage care delivery from a centralised app, following a significant investment from private equity firm August Equity. August Equity specialises in service-oriented companies in high-growth sectors such as healthcare, education, business services and technology.     At the time of Jenson’s initial £150,000 investment, OneTouch had developed its cloud-based software platform but had not secured a significant amount of market share. British Patient Capital has committed €25 million to Finch Capital’s Europe Fund III, which has reached a final close. The UK and Netherlands-based venture capital firm’s latest vehicle will target European fintech companies with high growth potential, and is British Patient Capital’s first commitment to a dedicated fintech fund. It will look to invest €2 million to €10 million per company, acquiring significant minority stakes in scale-up businesses with €2 million €10 million in revenues.  As with previous funds, Finch plans to back 15-20 European start-ups, targeting liquidity three to five years post-investment, over the fund’s three-year initial investment lifespan.  
Global growth equity firm General Atlantic has appointed Jonathan Durham as a managing director and head of technology buyouts. Durham will oversee the firm’s continued expansion into corporate buyouts in the technology sector and tech-enabled business models globally. Durham joins General Atlantic after more than 16 years at Silver Lake, where he most recently served as Managing Director. During his time there, he worked on significant capital commitments in areas including software, financial technology, digital marketing and education technology. Prior to joining Silver Lake in 2005, Durham attended Harvard University, where he earned an AB in History.
Ara Partners (Ara), a private equity and infrastructure firm that specialises in industrial decarbonisation investments, has appointed Teresa O’Flynn as a partner and co-lead of the firm’s infrastructure strategy.  Further expanding the firm’s infrastructure team, Gearóid Maher has joined as a Principal. O’Flynn and Maher are both based in Ara’s Dublin, Ireland office. O’Flynn joins Ara from BlackRock, where she held several senior investment and executive roles across the firm’s Alternatives investment platform. Ada Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in entrepreneurs with breakthrough ideas, has successfully reached a £36 million first close of its second fund.  Ada Ventures Fund II fundraise comes on the back of strong performance from the firm’s first fund. Overall, Ada’s Fund I has invested in 28 companies, including Huboo, Organise, MOONHUB, SideQuest and Spill. Huboo in particular has grown to scale at impressive speed, most recently raising a £60 million Series B investment.  Ada’s Fund I portfolio has raised an aggregate of £100 million in additional investment, from firms including Mubadala, GV and Index Ventures.
Global alternative investment manager Wafra has acquired a strategic minority interest in mid-market private equity buyout firm Oak Hill Partners from an affiliate of Jefferies Financial Group Inc. Wafra said the partnership with OHCP is a continuation of Wafra’s strategy of acquiring minority interests in established alternative asset management firms by utilizing a unique partnership-based approach. Oak Hill is led by Managing Partners Tyler Wolfram, Brian Cherry and Steve Puccinelli. The firm utilizes a theme-based investing strategy, focused on services, industrials, consumer and media & communications sectors. Stanley Capital Partners has invested in a majority stake in French pharmaceutical group Laboratoire XO. Founded in 2015, Lab XO specialises in mature market authorisations to sell and market drugs across various therapeutic areas such as pain, central nervous system, cardiology, oral care, and women’s health.  The company attained a turnover of €60m, owns 26 brands and a distribution network of more than 45 countries. Tech-enabled supply chain manager Ligentia Group has completed its acquisition of VGL Solid to create a global supply chain management business with revenues of over £1 billion. The company said the combination strengthens Ligentia’s presence on the Asia-Europe and  and Transpacific trade lanes, at a time when customers are facing increasing complexity in managing their international supply chains. Its technology platform will provide its customers’ planners and logistics teams a platform that connects s factories, carriers, customs, warehouses and delivery to the end customer.
