By the end of 2026, private capital AUM in Europe is forecast to reach €4.9 trillion, delivering a 14% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in AUM since 2021, according to Preqin analysts.
The total assets under management (AUM) of private capital funds focused on Europe stood at €2.2 trillion at the end of December 2021, according to Preqin Pro, the company’s database and analytics tool. To put this into perspective, in December 2015, the industry’s AUM was around €1.3tn, almost doubling in the last seven years.

Foresight Group (Foresight), a listed private equity and infrastructure investment manager, has completed a £3.5 million growth equity investment into Ruleguard, a London based SaaS technology provider supporting financial institution regulatory compliance.
Ruleguard was established by founder John O’Dwyer in 2013 as a software development consultancy. O’Dwyer an opportunity in 2015 and developed a software platform to support the newly incoming Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) regulations. Since then, Ruleguard has grown rapidly by winning business with a growing blue-chip customer base and expanded its capabilities to become one of the most competitive GRC platforms in the financial sector.

LGT Capital Partners (LGT CP) has welcomed US-based investor The Kresge Foundation as a new external co-investor as part of the further build-out of Lumen Re and confirmed the roles of two senior managers in Bermuda.
Lumen Re serves as a cornerstone of LGT Capital Partners’ ILS investment activity, both as a dedicated property catastrophe reinsurance carrier, and as a fronter/service provider to the LGT CP ILS fund suite. Siris, a private equity firm focused on investing and driving value creation in technology companies, has appointed Vipul Tandon as a Managing Director and Head of Credit Opportunities.
In his new role, Tandon will look to capitalise on meaningful opportunities to invest in structured credit and junior capital in the technology industry.

Di Giovanni advises investment funds, family offices and industrial companies in particular on acquisitions, buy-outs and joint ventures.
Di Giovanni cola joins from another international law firm in Paris where he was a partner in its corporate department. He is fluent in French, English and Italian.

Reality television star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is teaming up with Jay Sammons, a former partner at Carlyle Group Inc, to launch a SKKY Partners, new private equity firm which will focus on investments in consumer and media businesses, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites a joint statement as revealing that the new firm will look to make both contril and minority investments in a range if sectors including consumer products, hospitality, luxury, digital commerce and media, and plans to make both control and minority investments.

North Haven Capital (NHC), a private investment group based in Portland, Maine, has acquired New England-based Chamberlain Group (TCG), a designer, developer, and manufacturer of anatomical medical models.
NHC teamed up with BankProv, a future-ready commercial bank that offers adaptive and technology-first banking solutions to emerging markets and BDC Capital, recognised locally and nationally as a leader and innovator in business lending and capital investment. The Marketing Practice, a B2B marketing specialist backed by private equity investor Horizon Capital, has extended its presence in the APC region with the acquisition of ABM, demand and media specialist Rombii.
The deal marks the company’s first acquisition in the region and its fifth in the last 18 months, making it one of the largest B2B tech marketing specialists in the world.
Rombii’s founder Sam Howell and its managing director Marcus Wilkinson will remain in their roles. Rombii joins US-based Campaign Stars and 90octane alongside Kingpin and Omobono, all of which were acquired in the last 18 months
