Palatine-backed CTS Group (Construction Testing Solutions), a provider of geotechnical consulting, construction materials testing and surveying and monitoring services, has acquired Concept Engineering Consultants Limited, a specialist in geotechnical, structural and geo-environmental services.  This is CTS Group’s eighth acquisition since Palatine’s initial investment in late 2018. Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has made a commitment of $350 million to the fifth global infrastructure fund from Brookfield, which has a target size of $25 billion.
Pemberton, an alternative credit specialist, has provided financing to support global asset management firm CVC Fund’s acquisition of Neolith, a specialist in the design and production of sintered stone services serving multiple end-markets. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Castellon, Spain, serves multiple end-markets, including bathrooms, wall claddings, furniture, floorings, facades and with a particular focus on high-end kitchens. Neolith has strong sustainability credentials, with its products being plastic-free and fully recyclable. The company is applying for B-Corp status in 2022. Pemberton has financed Neolith since September 2019, when it supported independently managed investment company InvestIndustrial’s acquisition of the company.
Derbyshire-based CW Sellors has secured funds from MEIF Maven Debt Finance, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) which is managed by Maven Capital Partners.  Along with the expansion of its facilities, the funds will also help the business increase its sales and marketing activity. Founded in 1979, CW Sellors has managed to establish a successful online presence along with a good reputation as a retailer of jewellery and luxury watches across Derbyshire and Yorkshire. CW Sellors plans to use the funding to expand its design and manufacturing centres with a newly built facility, and to create new jobs
Inflexion has sold medical data disseminator Pharmaspectra to US-listed health information company IQVIA in a deal valued at $100 million, according to a report by Unquote. The exit has generated a 25% IRR for Inflexion. Inflexion acquired Pharmaspectra in 2019 via Enterprise Fund IV, and the deal is Inflexion’s fourth Fund IV exit following the sales of Goals Soccer Centre, Halo Technology, and Virgin Experience Days.  Inflexion has reportedly made nine exits to date in 2022 with a combined valuation of GBP2.5 billion.
E.ON’s current venturing team, Future Energy Ventures, has established a new, independent Luxembourg-domiciled venture capital fund, Future Energy Ventures Fund I SCA SICAV-RAIF.
