Twin Bridge Capital Partners (Twin Bridge) a private equity firm that targets investments in the North American small and lower middle market, has closed its fifth flagship lower middle market fund, Pacific Street Fund V, with more than $880 million in capital commitments. Fund V was oversubscribed and exceeded its $800 million target. Twin Bridge has raised over $3.9 billion in capital and has invested in more than 200 funds and co-investments since the firm’s inception in 2005. Illumina, a specialist in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies, has invested in Time Boost Capital I LP, a £30 million genomics venture fund dedicated to providing match funding to startups graduating from Illumina Accelerator Cambridge with the aim to advance breakthroughs in human health. Illumina Accelerator, located in both San Francisco and Cambridge, is a company creation engine that partners with entrepreneurs to create genomics startups and advance innovative applications. Swave Photonics, a specialist in holographic extended reality (HXR) technology to bring the metaverse to life, has raised €7 million in a seed funding round co-led by Imec.xpand, a value-add venture capital fund focused on nanotechnology innovations, and Flanders Future Techfund (FFTF), a Belgian/Flemish public investment fund. Sagewind Capital (Sagewind), a New York-based middle-market private equity firm, has led the Series B financing of Code-X, a security software company that protects sensitive information and systems using its proprietary lattice-based technology. Code-X has developed the first-ever commercially available lattice-based data protection platform that protects data, at rest and in motion, from the threat of quantum computing. The platform protects sensitive information across all IT environments while enabling authentication, management and monitoring data and systems in real time. Richard Haight has joined Nuveen Natural Capital as Head of Global Timberland Transactions. In his new role, Haight will be a member of the leadership team and will focus on pipeline development, transactions (both acquisitions and dispositions), and capital deployment.   Most recently, Haight served as Head of TTG Forestry Services and US Operations for BTG Pactual’s Timberland Investment Group (TIG), supporting the management of TIG’s $3.5 billion in global AUM in both the US and abroad.
