HIG Bayside Capital (Bayside), the special situations and distressed debt affiliate of HIG Capital, has promoted Mathilde Malezieux to managing director.
Malezieux has over sixteen years of investment banking and distressed investment experience. She previously worked at Nomura where she focused on European senior and mezzanine debt investments.
Galaxy Digital has led a $20m Series A funding round in Skolem Technologies, according to a report by CoinDesk.
Point72 Ventures, Jump Crypto, Fenwick & West, Morpheus Ventures, and Dragonfly Capital, also participated in the round.
Skolem, a provider data and trade execution services for decentralised financial markets, will use the capital to grow its team, and increase the platform’s capabilities.

Bain Capital’s special situations fund for the Asia-Pacific region has closed with capital commitments of $2 billion, in excess of its $1.5 billion target, according to a report by Private Equity Insights.
The fund, Bain’s second Asia-focused strategy, will invest in a range of asset types but will have a particular focus on real estate.

Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors), a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) owned jointly by Oak Hill Capital and Genstar Capital, has acquired Bivin and Associates, a wealth management firm headquartered in Oklahoma, with assets under management (AUM) of approximately $130 million.
Bivin was founded in 1994 by Wm Stan Bivin, CFP, President. Bivin’s entire team will also be joining Mercer Advisors.
