Boomi, an intelligent connectivity and automation lead specialist backed by Francisco Partners and TPG, has appointed Madeline Ling as chief financial officer (CFO), Marcy Campbell as chief revenue officer (CRO), and Fran Wilson as chief marketing officer (CMO), effective immediately. Additionally, Emmy award-winning news journalist Christa Delcamp joins Boomi to support public relations and media strategy, and James Dyson joins the company to lead Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Talent Acquisition. The new leadership appointments come after Boomi’s recent independence backed by private equity firms, Francisco Partners and TPG, in a USD4 billion transaction.
Victory Park Capital (VPC), a global alternative investment firm specialising in private credit, has held the final close for Asset Backed Opportunistic Credit strategy. The fund is oversubscribed at $2.4 billion of committed and investable capital, including separately managed accounts investing alongside the fund. The strategy seeks to provide customised credit solutions to established and emerging, asset-rich companies with strong growth trajectory.   Limited partners in the strategy include pension funds, financial institutions, insurance companies, endowments, healthcare services, family offices and other institutional investors. Magic Spoon announced has raised $85 million in a Series B funding round led by HighPost Capital, a private investment firm focused on the global consumer and consumer technology sectors, and its first-ever retail launch exclusively into Target stores nationwide. HighPost Capital is joined by Siddhi Capital, Coefficient Capital, Constellation Capital, Carter Comstock, and more. Celebrity investors include Shakira, Russell Westbrook, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Amy Schumer, Odell Beckham Jr, and Nas.    The proceeds from the raise will be used to accelerate Magic Spoon’s rapid growth, expansion from 100% direct-to-consumer into retail, and amplify widespread brand awareness through continued use
Pixellot, a specialist in automated sports video and analytics solutions, has completed a $161 million funding round led by PSG, a growth equity firm partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies. The round also includes secondary capital from existing investors.  As part of the transaction, Ronen Nir, Managing Director at PSG, and Govind Anand, Principal at PSG, have both joined Pixellot’s Board of Directors.    Pixellot intends to use the funds to support its global market expansion and to enhance its video, analytics and highlights value proposition to fans, athletes and coaches at all levels.
One Rock Capital Partners (One Rock) has added Andrew Shackett to its team of Operating Partners. Shackett will be joining One Rock Operating Partners Kurt Barker and Michael Mayer and will be responsible for driving post-acquisition value at One Rock’s portfolio companies through strategic growth initiatives focused on business and environmental services. Shackett has over 30 years of business experience in the environmental and industrial services industry, which includes leadership roles held at companies in the industry, such as ACV Enviro Inc. where he served as President and CEO, overseeing all aspects of the business in the US and Canada.
The Building Cost Information Service (BCIS), a UK-based cost benchmarking and valuation platform for construction, has secured investment from LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.
Private equity firm Genstar Capital has led the recapitalisation of US wealth management firm Cerity Partners. Lightyear Capital has been an investor in Cerity Partners since 2017 and will continue to be an investor in the firm.   Cerity Partners’ 425 professionals serve more than 10,000 clients and advise on approximately $50 billion in assets.  The firm provides financial and tax planning, tax preparation, executive financial counseling, retirement plan advisory, and investment management services to high-net-worth individuals and their families, businesses and their leaders, and nonprofit organisations.
Insigneo Financial Group, an independent wealth management platform catering to international advisors and clients, has secured a significant minority investment of $100 million led by Bain Capital Credit and JC Flowers & Co, with participation from private investors. The capital will be used to accelerate Insigneo’s growth and expansion strategy.   Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Insigneo operates as an SEC-registered broker dealer and registered investment advisor.
Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA) has formed a strategic partnership with Trilon Group (Trilon), a family of infrastructure-focused businesses backed by private equity firm Alpine Investors. RKA will be a critical part of Trilon’s National Transportation platform, and Trilon will support RKA’s strategic expansion through capital and resource support that will ensure ongoing employee growth and continued quality service for clients.   Founded in 1992, RKA is a transportation consulting company, headquartered in North Carolina and servicing the Southeast USA.
Cornerstone OnDemand, a specialist in adaptive cloud-based HR software solutions, backed by Clearlake Capital Group, is to acquire SumTotal, a human capital management SaaS provider, from Skillsoft. This announcement follows Cornerstone’s recent acquisition of EdCast, which has fueled the company’s strategy to create an open platform for people development, growth, and mobility.
