Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, has closed Capital Dynamics Mid-Market Direct V (MMD V), the firm’s latest co-investment fund.
MMD V was over-subscribed compared to its initial target of $500 million and closed with $578 million in capital commitments.
This fifth fund significantly surpassed the size of its predecessor, which closed in January 2017.
MMD V comprises existing and new investors to Capital Dynamics including pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and high net worth individuals from the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
Talos, the provider of institutional digital asset trading technology, has secured a $105 million Series B funding round that values the company at $1.25 billion, according to a report from PR Newswire.
The round was led by global growth equity firm, General Atlantic with participation from veteran investors in both the traditional finance and digital asset spaces.
These include: Andreessen Horowitz, PayPal Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, Fidelity Investments, Illuminate Financial, Initialized Capital, and Notation Capital also extended their partnerships with Talos through this newest funding round.

Sphera, a global provider of ESG performance and risk management software, data and consulting services, has launched its new Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Automation software, building on the company’s existing LCA solutions.
The move comes as investor and regulatory pressures surrounding the standardisation and digitalisation of end-to-end sustainability data measurement continue to mount, necessitating increasingly sophisticated and granular reporting and compliance tools.
