Graphite Capital, a UK mid-market private equity specialist, has backed the management buyout of Babble from LDC.
UK cyber security business, Adarma, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of ex-Cisco Global Vice President John Maynard as its new CEO. The business has made the appointment as it seeks to capitalise on its existing strong growth trajectory and track record in assisting large blue-chip organisations with threat management and security operations. Adarma intends to do this by expanding its service offerings and driving international growth across the UK, US and Europe.

Atwater Capital (Atwater), a private equity firm that focuses exclusively on the media and entertainment sectors, has appointed Meri Khananashvili, formerly an executive at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the entertainment agency giant, as Principal. Khananashvili, who brings deep industry expertise and an extensive network to the firm’s leadership, will play a key role in the execution of Atwater’s investment strategy. She will be based at the firm’s Los Angeles headquarters.

Zouk, an infrastructure and private equity fund manager investing in the sustainable economy, has appointed Lord Paul Myners CBE to the its Board.Myners’ appointment will allow Zouk to draw upon his wider ranging insights into multiple areas of interest including, in particular, ESG considerations within private equity portfolios. Myners’ is also expected to play an important role in supporting Zouk’s business.

Tori Weir, who represents institutional investors in US and cross-border debt financings with a focus on secured and unsecured private placements, has rejoined Morgan Lewis from Akin Gump as a partner resident in London.Weir also advises institutional investors and other institutional lenders in mezzanine financing and leveraged acquisition transactions. Additionally, she has borrower-side experience in bank financings and private placements of debt, as well as a broad range of experience in US and international corporate and capital markets transactions.

Schulte Roth & Zabel (SRZ), a law firm serving the financial services industry, has added Douglas S Mintz as a partner and co-chair of the Business Reorganisation Group. Graphite Capital, a UK mid-market private equity specialist, has made one promotion and two new appointments to its investment team.Lara Markham has been promoted to investment director. Since joining Graphite in 2017, she has worked on a variety of transactions in multiple sectors. Markham was previously with OC&C Strategy Consulting where she worked on mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy across consumer, business services and the TMT sectors.
Graphite has also appointed Zoe Jackson investment executive and May Sulaiman investment manager.
Jackson joined Graphite in June from Barclays Investment Bank where she worked in the UK mergers and
