New World Capital Advisors (NWCA), a global special situations merchant banking and investment firm, has appointed Lena Tan and Rony Rached to its Board of Directors. Arrow Capital Partners, an investor and operator of real estate in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has appointed Martien van Deursen as its Head of Benelux.Van Deursen will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing transactions and investment management in the Netherlands, including Arrow’s EUR3 billion SIRE joint venture. Arrow currently has a portfolio of EUR100 million-plus multi-let, distribution and light industrial assets in the Netherlands mainly located in the Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht conurbations. Early growth capital investor, Carpediem Capital has appointed Amit Goyal as an Executive Director to bolster its management team. Carpediem Capital invests in profitable start-ups and SMEs across consumer brands, financial services, healthcare and business services.

UK mid-market private equity investor LDC has promoted Dale Alderson to Head of the North West and Dan Smith to Head of Yorkshire. The promotions come as LDC seeks to increase its investment and support for UK mid-market businesses, having delivered 25 new deals and bolt ons so far in 2020.

CIL Management Consultants has appointed Axel Leichum as lead partner for North America. Leichum has 20 years’ experience as a management consultant, supporting corporates and investors with business planning, market studies, pricing strategies and commercial due diligence. He joins from strategy consultancy, Blue Canyon Partners.
Leichum’s appointment reflects the growing demand for CIL’s services across the market. CIL has enjoyed rapid growth in the geography since it first opened a US office two years ago, which reflects the strength of proposition CIL offers to its clients, leveraging its expertise in strategic support across a range of industries.

The Manchester team at LDC, a mid-market private equity investor, has provided GBP6 million of follow on funding to enable portfolio company MSQ Partners’ acquisition of the Be Heard Partnership.The transaction confirms Be Heard’s delisting from the London Stock Exchange (AIM) at an enterprise value of GBP20.6 million. It creates a combined global workforce of 785 people and is part of MSQ’s ambitious buy and build strategy, designed to enhance its multi-disciplinary capabilities, particularly in tech and data analytics.
