Patrick Cunningham arrives at REPM with over 20 years of investment markets experience, the majority of which has been focussed on the infrastructure, energy and real asset sectors. Leen Meijaard, Neuberger Berman
Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, has appointed Leen Meijaard, former Blackrock executive, as a senior advisor, effective 1 November. Leen (pictured), will act as a consultant, advising on the Europe and Middle East institutional business, working with Dik van Lomwel, head of EMEA and LatAm.   Leen was a member of Blackrock’s EMEA executive committee for nearly a decade and held managing director roles at the firm, including most recently head of Blackrock EMEA iShares and previously head of Blackrock EMEA Institutional. DWS has appointed Thomas Kalthöfer as Investment Director within its global infrastructure investment business. Based in London, Kalthöfer will join the Pan European Infrastructure (PEIF) investment team which currently manages PEIF II, a closed-end fund focusing on unlisted European infrastructure investments that closed in 2017 with EUR 2.5 billion available to invest. It was the follow-on product to PEIF I which closed in 2007.   The appointment of Kalthöfer comes as DWS continues to invest in its infrastructure business, having made a total of nine appointments over the past 12 months. Private equity investor Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has promoted five senior staff to partnership positions. The newly promoted partners are Colin Anderson (Property), Suzanne Lupton (Co-investment), Ewan McKinnon (Private Equity), David Milroy (Private Equity) and Andrew Whiteley (Property). Colin Anderson joined Maven in 2014 after 11 years in various Corporate Banking and Real Estate Finance roles with The Royal Bank of Scotland. A chartered accountant, Colin has been instrumental in growing the Maven property business from five assets in 2009 and GBP41 million Gross Development Value (GDV), to 23 assets and GBP295 million GDV prior to recent exits this year.
