Global law firm Reed Smith has added Julia Boyd as a partner in the Global Corporate Group in New York. She was formerly a member of the Private Equity Group at Goodwin Proctor, which she joined in 2013.

ArchOver, a P2P business lending platform connecting businesses requiring finance with individual and institutional investors, is expanding into the West Midlands and opening up new flows of capital for SMEs operating in the region.
As traditional banks divest from hubs outside London and further centralise their operations in the capital, ArchOver’s new Birmingham office will give the company a base to support clients across the Midlands offering a personalised service when it comes to alternative finance. Investors will also have access to the increased volume and quality of loans ArchOver is facilitating.

The two founders of international corporate finance advisory firm Rautenberg & Company, Arndt Rautenberg and Jens Moritz, will with immediate effect take on equal representation in the name of the firm: The company will now operate as Rautenberg Moritz & Co.
“After four years of successful and trustful cooperation, we want to reflect this practice in our company name,” says Rautenberg.

Michael Westhoven has joined Livingstone as a Partner in its global Media & Technology team based in Düsseldorf.
Westhoven has 25 years of experience in media, tech and communications M&A as both a corporate finance adviser and venture capital investor, and as an operational executive with P&L responsibility. He joins Livingstone from Houlihan Lokey where he was German head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications.

Vinson & Elkins continues to expand its global corporate practice with the addition of leveraged finance partner Lucy Jenkins in London.
Jenkins was previously with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. She is the second partner in as many months to join V&E’s internationally recognised Leveraged Finance group in London, following the addition of Noel Hughes in September.
Jenkins joins a growing team of corporate partners in V&E’s London office. In addition to Hughes, recent arrivals include Paul Simcock in January and John Dawson and Federico Fruhbeck, who came on board in late 2017.

Mark Withey has been appointed a partner in Dentons’ Russian Corporate and M&A practice.
Withey has a broad-ranging Corporate practice, advising on private and public mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, equity capital markets, corporate reorganisations and general corporate law matters. He has advised on transactions across a wide range of jurisdictions and industry sectors. He also spent time on secondment with two leading investment banks in London. Withey has been based in Russia since early 2014.

She most recently led customer communication channels at O&CC Ltd (owner of high-street brands Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock, Cycle Surgery and Runners Need) and has previously worked on customer strategies for companies such as SABMiller, Heal’s and Argos.
