NorthEdge Capital has promoted Ray Stenton as Joint Managing Partner as part of several key promotions at the firm, which has continued to grow funds under management during 2018.
Stenton has played the leading role for all of NorthEdge’s new investment activity, investing over GBP380 million in 28 companies since the final close of NorthEdge Capital Fund I in March 2013. He will work alongside Grant Berry in running the firm on a day-to-day basis.

Greenberg Traurig has expanded its Corporate and Investment Funds practices with the addition of Petros (Peter) L Tsirigotis as shareholder in its Washington, DC and New York City offices.
Tsirigotis joins from Stradley Ronon, where he was co-chair of the firm’s Private Investment Funds Practice. Before that, he served as senior vice president at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, where he led the investment management funds risks, operations, and governance group.

Boutique asset manager Unigestion has strengthened its cross-asset solutions team with the recent appointments of Salman Baig and Joshua Seager as investment managers.
Baig joined Unigestion earlier this year from Bridgewater Associates, where he was an Investment Associate & Engineer focussing on fundamental macroeconomic research, portfolio construction and risk management. Prior to Bridgewater, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the mathematics department at the University of Washington and a member of the Research Team at the Institute for Defense Analyses in the US. Framework, a global solutions vendor for Private Equity (PE) and Real Estate (RE) investments, has appointed Alan Naughton as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Naughton brings with him more than 30 years of global banking and investment servicing experience acquired in multiple geographic locations in leading financial institutions. Most recently, Alan was head of Standard Chartered Bank’s securities services and corporate agency and trust business, based in Singapore, having joined in 2012 from JPMorgan in London where he had been Head of Commercial Management for the Global Funds Division since 2008.

Schroders has diversified its Solutions business with the appointment of a dedicated private assets investment specialist.
Ped Phrompechrut has joined as a Solutions Manager, a new role, based in London. He will report into Neil Walton, Head of Investment Solutions.
Ped will work with clients globally to provide investment strategy and portfolio construction advice, with a particular focus on delivering private market solutions. He was previously a Director at Willis Towers Watson where he was Head of Private Market Solutions. Yukon Partners (Yukon) has appointed Elliot Lynch as a Vice President in its investment team.
Lynch’s responsibilities will include working with the Yukon team on overall investment activities. He will provide leadership in the areas of evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio investment monitoring.

Investcorp has appointed Sir Michael Fallon, a British Member of Parliament and former Secretary of State for Defence, to the firm’s International Advisory Board.
Fallon has served as a British Member of Parliament for more than three decades. He has held a number of senior governmental leadership roles, most notably serving as Secretary of State for Defence from 2014-2017. In this role he had overall responsibility for the British armed forces and managed a GBP35 billion annual budget. Sir Michael has also served as Schools Minister under both Margaret Thatcher and John Major, and Business and Energy Minister under David
BTIG has hired JT Herman as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions within its Investment Banking division. Herman will be based in San Francisco.

Hedge fund and private equity fund manager EJF Capital (EJF) has appointed Asheel Shah as a Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate, effective 1 October 2018.
Shah will direct all commercial real estate investment activities including ground up development.
Shah brings with him over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Most recently, he was President and Chief Investment Officer of the Multifamily division at Kettler Inc, a diversified real estate development company. Shah oversaw acquisitions, asset management, development, construction and equity capital sourcing in the Multifamily division.
Neal Wilson, co-founder and Chief Operating
HQ Capital has hired Amy Thiessen as Director of Business Development to lead capital-raising and business development in North America. She will be based in New York.
Thiessen will raise capital and develop new strategic partnerships across HQ Capital’s platform with institutional investors in North America including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, endowments and foundations. She will also manage existing strategic partnerships with groups in the US and Canada.
Thiessen joins HQ Capital with 13 years of experience in capital markets in Europe and the US. Previously, she was a Principal at Park Madison Partners, raising capital
