TPG Inc, a global alternative asset management firm with $212bn AUM across a broadly diversified set of strategies, including private equity, impact, credit, real estate, has appointed Nehal Raj, Jeffrey Rhodes, and Josh Baumgarten to its Board of Directors.
KKR has announced the appointment of Dane E. Holmes as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective December 29, 2023. As CAO, he will join the firm’s leadership team and oversee and work with the existing leaders of a number of key functions, including KKR’s Human Capital, Communications, Marketing, Sustainability, and Citizenship teams.
Apollo Global Management Inc. hired BlackRock Inc. veterans in wealth and insurance as the alternative asset manager expands its team in key growth areas, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Next Round Capital, a leading venture capital and secondaries advisory firm is pleased to announce that Wyan Yarbrough, CFA, has joined the firm as Director of Research. Yarbrough brings more than a decade of TMT (technology, media, telecom) investment experience and a successful track record of identifying and leading investments in high-growth and disruptive technology companies and pre-IPO startups.
Cathay Capital announced the appointment of Caroline Folleas as Partner for its private equity practice in Paris, with dual expertise in the healthcare and consumer sectors. This new recruitment follows that of Bruno Delahaye as Partner of Cathay Innovation (based in Paris) focused on the consumer and retail sector, and the return of Li Zhang (based in Shanghai) to lead the Cathay Smart Energy fund.
Aperture Investors, an alternative asset manager and part of the Generali Investments ecosystem, has appointed Rob MacNaughton  as the newest member of its growing credit team. MacNaughton is an Associate Portfolio Manager who will head up Aperture’s New York-based credit team and support the firm’s global fixed-income strategies.
Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s is reshuffling senior executives in its private credit unit in order to double the size of the business in the medium term, according to a report by Bloomberg. The company’s private credit unit is worth $110bn. 
H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with $59bn of equity capital under management, has announced that Jenny Nelson, Jennie Park, and Joe Tremblay have joined the firm’s Capital Formation Group. Nelson and Tremblay will join as Managing Directors, based in California, and Park has joined as a Principal, based in New York.
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation has  expanded its private credit business in Asia with the hire of Yew Chuan Sima former Nomura executive.  He will join SMBC’s loan capital markets department as head of private credit distribution, Asia Pacific, according to a statement.
The Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, one of the biggest US public pension schemes, has lost most of its private equity team after the fund made changes that hindered the group’s ability to make allocations to the asset class, according to a report by Bloomberg.
