Portware completes acquisition of Aritas technology assets

Portware, a provider of broker-neutral, multi-asset trading solutions, has completed its acquisition of the technology and analytical assets of Aritas Group.

The acquisition also includes a portfolio of 17 patents covering Aritas’ predictive analytics and algorithmic optimisation technology.

Aritas’ Alpha Pro and Algorithmic Switching Engine have been rebranded as Portware Alpha Vision, and are immediately available to all industry participants.

Offered in partnership with the brokerage community, Alpha Vision provides buy-side institutions with end-to-end workflow automation and commission optimisation tools, allowing clients to improve trading performance while maintaining and enhancing broker relationships.

Portware Alpha Vision is the first and only algorithmic optimisation solution that uses predictive analytics to automatically select and implement the optimal execution strategy. It dynamically switches between algorithms and adjusts to changing market conditions in real-time to maximise alpha capture while minimising impact costs, adverse selection and the impact of HFT strategies.

“This type of artificial intelligence provides an unprecedented level of automation that will help any user improve trading efficiencies, enhance execution quality and optimize commissions. With Alpha Vision, Portware has taken automated trading to a new level,  helping transform the way the industry analyzes, communicates and executes investment ideas,” says Alfred Eskandar, chief executive, Portware.
