Boutique investment bank Moelis has announced that Roger Hoit has joined the firm as a managing director based in New York.
Hoit, who has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, will focus on providing advisory services to financial sponsors.
Hoit was previously a managing director in the global financial sponsors group at Morgan Stanley where he built a leading franchise advising financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on strategic transactions and investment opportunities. In this role, he originated and executed the full spectrum of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings and derivative transactions.
Before joining Morgan Stanley in 2000, Hoit was a managing director at SG Cowen, a division of Société Générale, and previously a managing director and partner at Gleacher & Co, having begun his career at PaineWebber.
