Schwartz boosts Latin American capital markets practice

Latin America focused New York law firm Schwartz has hired M&A and corporate deal lawyer Zachary S. Klughaupt as counsel, bolstering its Latin American capital markets practice.

Klughaupt, who is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, will divide his time between São Paulo and New York.

Kenneth Schwartz, Schwartz founder and managing partner, says: “Zach is highly regarded by our peers, and his strong background in M&A, finance and securities law reinforces our core strengths.”

Klughaupt began his legal career in the New York office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, where he advised private equity firms, investment banks and other companies regarding M&A, finance and securities transactions.

Prior to joining Schwartz, he was a managing director at FNF Title International, where he was responsible for the company’s entry into the Brazilian market.
