Edinburgh-based SL Capital Partners, formerly Standard Life Investments (Private Equity), has announced the appointment of Eric Albertson, who was previously with Bank of America Capital Advisors, as investment director for private equity in North America.
Albertson, who will be based in SL Capital Partners’ Boston office, will focus on managing the USD625m of US private equity interests raised from clients, including USD430m raised from Standard Life.
‘I am very pleased to welcome Eric to our US private equity team,’ says SL Capital Partners chief executive David Currie. ‘He forms an integral part of our plans to develop and promote our global private equity business. We anticipate making additional hires in the coming months to further strengthen our US private equity programme.
‘Eric’s detailed knowledge of the industry in North America will make him a valuable addition. During his time at Bank of America he was responsible for a USD900m portfolio of private equity funds and direct co-investments spanning all stages of private equity.’
