Open banking platform Snoop has secured GBP15 million in Series A funding from leading American investment management firm Paulson & Co Inc (Paulson), giving the business a post-money valuation of GBP47 million.  The money management app helps people spend, save and live smarter through personalised money-saving insights, and aims to save the average user GBP1,500 per year. Legend Capital has participated a biological computing platform enterprise BioMap’s USD100 million Series A funding round. The funds will be used to for R&D and talent recruitment. BioMap is positioned as an innovative medicine R&D platform driven by biological computing engine. It was co-founded by Robin Li in November 2020 and he currently serves as the Chairman. Through advanced computing and biotechnology, BioMap draws maps on disease targets and drug design to realize the Global First-in-class original drugs. Aliter Capital (Aliter), a private equity buy and build specialist in the support services sector, is pleased to announce that it has agreed the sale of its shareholding in North Group SP (North) to Livingbridge. The management team will continue to work in North and will reinvest part of their proceeds in the Group. UK mid-market private equity investor Livingbridge, has made an investment in North SP Group (North) and a follow on acquisition of Data Techniques.  North is a highly technical integrated technology specialist delivering end-to-end networking and IoT application design, implementation, support, and managed services throughout the UK. North prides itself on driving innovation and leading the industry in adoption of emerging technologies. Led by CEO, Glen Williams, North has over 270 staff, of which around 160 provide technical services. North specialises in the provision of connectivity within complex environments where multiple layers of connectivity are required (eg Wi-Fi, IoT, 5G etc).
Vienna-based logistics and warehousing start-up, Storebox, has just raised EUR52 million in a series B investment round.  The new investors are mostly international, and include Activum SG, Attila Balogh, Kineo Finance, n3K Holding, Senger-Weiss, Wicklow Capital and Wille Finance. Existing investors Romulus (Hansi Hansmann) and APIC Investments also participated in the round. Three Hills Capital Partners (THCP) is pleased to announce that its Three Hills Capital Solutions III (THCS III) portfolio company ACT, has agreed to a minority investment from Bridgepoint, which values the business at more than USD1.0 billion and replaces the existing stakes of THCP and its co-investors.  The transaction represents the first full exit for THCS III, of 2018 vintage. Qatar Holding, an affiliate of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), is to invest USD200 million in Airtel Mobile Commerce BV (AMC BV), a subsidiary of Airtel Africa.  AMC BV is the holding company for several of Airtel Africa’s mobile money operations; and ultimately is intended to own and operate the mobile money businesses across all of Airtel Africa’s fourteen operating countries. The transaction values Airtel Africa’s mobile money business at USD2.65 billion on a cash and debt free basis. QIA will hold a minority stake in AMC BV upon completion of the Transaction (alongside other minority investors), with Airtel Africa
O’Melveny has advised Spectro Cloud, a next-generation Kubernetes enterprise management platform, in in the completion of a USD20 million Series A funding. The financing round was led by Stripes, a prominent investor in software and consumer products. Among investors funding the Series A raise were T-Mobile Ventures and Alter Venture Partners, as well as a number of backers from Spectro Cloud’s recent seed funding round. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand sales efforts nationally and internationally.   Spectro Cloud’s fully integrated next-generation platform allows users to manage multiple diverse clusters of Kubernetes environments in any data centre
