Phoenix American, a transfer agent and fund administration provider for alternative investments and the Founder Institute, a global startup accelerator, have partnered to provide fund administration, investor services and fund accounting for graduates of Founder Institute’s VC Lab programme.  The partnership will enable program alumni to benefit from institutional-class back office infrastructure. Biconomy has raised USD9 million in a private funding round led by DACM and Mechanism Capital, with strategic investments from Coinbase Ventures, CoinFund, True Ventures, Bain Capital, NFX, Proof Group, Ledgerprime, Huobi Innovation Labs, Primitive Ventures, Genblock and Rarestone Capital as well as angel investments from Stani from Aave, Hasu, Stephane Gosselin from Flashbots, Prabhakar Reddy from Falcon X, Arbitrum founders and more.  The completion of this round of financing includes participation from previous investors including Woodstock Fund, Eden Block, and Zee Prime Capital.  Web3.0 applications face critical roadblocks to user adoption including complex user onboarding and confusing transaction experiences.
Prime Trust, a one-stop shop for financial infrastructure for fintechs, has closed a USD64 million Series A funding round.  The timing of the raise coincides with the firm having crossed USD100 million in annual revenue-run rate and 250 million API calls per month from its B2B customers. This is the first institutional round of funding for Prime Trust. Led by Mercato Partners, the round also includes strategic participation from Samsung Next, Nationwide, Commerce Ventures, Ayon Capital, Kraken Ventures, STCAP, s20 Capital, Seven Peaks Ventures, Diverse Angels, University Growth Fund and Nevcaut Ventures. Fintech, broker and asset management company Darwinex has raised EUR3 million to pursue its ambitious growth aspirations. Leading investors in the round were Stefan Jaecklin and Pinorena Capital who were joined by Darwinex co-founders and a number of key employees in the company. Pinorena Capital, a fintech-focused investment company led by entrepreneur Illimar Mattus, has contributed with this first investment to supporting Darwinex expansion journey.
