Private capital investments in Spain reached a record volume in 2020, totalling EUR6.27 billion, a growth of 33 per cent of the volume reached in 2019. However, in this booming sector, diversity does not move at the same pace: while many of the jobs that are not directly related to investment (administrative tasks, investor relations and platform) are held by women, gender parity is not the norm in the investment teams.

Funds advised by YFM Equity Partners have sold their shareholding in Deep Secure Limited to Forcepoint Federal, a global cyber security solutions business specialising in serving government and critical infrastructure clients for an undisclosed sum. PROfounders Capital, an early stage venture capital investor, has welcomed the successful pricing of online furniture retailer Made.com ahead of its IPO on the London Stock Exchange, which will deliver a 25x return for PROfounders’ investors.
PROfounders’ investment in Made.com will also deliver another fund returner for investors, with proceeds exceeding the size of the firm’s first fund.

NorthEdge has sold a majority stake in Orbis Protect (Orbis), a leading provider of critical security services to the UK vacant property sector, to growth investor Synova.
The deal delivers a strong return for the lower mid-market private equity specialist and includes a material reinvestment into Orbis from NorthEdge’s Fund II alongside Synova.

Booste, the fintech offering revenue-based financing (RBF) to e-commerce companies, is today announcing it has raised EUR12 million in Series A funding to expand its model across Europe including in the UK, Ireland and Netherlands.
