Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has led an investment round in Horizon Technologies (Horizon) for an undisclosed amount.  The UK aerospace OEM is a specialist in airborne signals intelligence (SIGINT) systems. Additionally, the company’s business segment, Horizon Aerospace, is a leading developer of airborne Sat Phone monitoring systems for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) applications. Three members Aurica Capital’s management team – Ferran Conti, Ramón Mas and Iván Plaza – have acquired a majority stake in the Spanish growth capital firm.  The trio have led Aurica’s management team since its creation in 2015. Banco Sabadell will retain the remaining ownership. This management buyout was decided and signed in 2020, and it finally came to fruition after securing the required regulatory approval from the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV). Aurica Capital does not plan to alter the current members of its executive and investment committees, nor its investment policy or fund structure, following the transaction.

Growth capital investor BGF has completed a GBP5.2 million investment in Odro, a Scottish-headquartered tech business that provides video interviewing and engagement software to the recruitment industry. BGF has acquired a minority stake in the business in order to help fund a global expansion plan that will see the company opening offices in Australia and North America, as well as adding more than 20 staff within the next two years.
