European mid-market private equity investor Equistone Partners Europe (Equistone) is to acquire Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services (Knowledge Services), a provider of bespoke research, analytics and automation technology to the financial services sector, from Moody’s Corporation. Established in 2014 through the merger of the Moody’s subsidiaries Copal Partners and Amba Research, Knowledge Services provides various market-leading customised knowledge services, in domains such as investment banking, investment research, private equity & consulting and commercial lending. The business, headquartered in London and operating across nine delivery centres worldwide, employs a specialist workforce of subject matter experts working as an extension of clients’ teams.
Preqin’s private equity data will now be available via FactSet, a provider of integrated financial information and analytical applications. Subscribers will be able to access the data via the FactSet workstation, allowing users to integrate private market data into their workflows. Clients will be able to see an integrated live feed of Preqin data on private equity fund managers, investors and performance alongside FactSet’s own datasets. This will enable users to conduct in-depth analysis of private equity performance, powered by both Preqin and FactSet data, all in one platform. Frontier Development Capital (FDC), an established fund manager operating debt funds in England, has relocated its Birmingham headquarters. The firm has moved its operations and 25 staff from Baskerville House to a 5,246 sq ft office on 45 Church Street in the heart of the city’s business district.   FDC provides access to investments of up to GBP10million, deploying flexible capital to mid-market businesses across England.
