Scope has published a new rating methodology for evaluating the quality and competence of individual investment teams within asset management companies. The methodology is applied to investment teams which predominantly invest in liquid, traditional instruments such as shares and bonds, as well as in liquid alternative strategies such as long/short equities.   The new methodology expands Scope’s rating spectrum. Until now, Scope evaluated asset managers in their entirety as well as in individual asset classes (investment centres). Ipes, a provider of outsourced services to Private Equity in Europe, has been authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland to provide Fund Administration services. Stockholm IT Ventures, a Swedish technology company specialising in energy crypto currency mining, has secured a EUR2 million investment in its Bytemine token (BYTM) from Pecunio’s VC Fund. The London office of international law firm Winston & Strawn represented Mind Gym PLC on its GBP145 million listing on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. The transaction involved a GBP50 million vendor placing by founders and employees and on admission to trading, Mind Gym had a market capitalisation of over GBP145 million.   The placing was oversubscribed and on close of business after the first day of trading the company’s share price had increased by 25 per cent.
