Mourant Ozannes’ investment funds team has established the first five Jersey Private Funds (JPF) since the new regime came into effect last month.
Introduced by the Jersey Financial Services Commission, the new JPF product has been designed to rationalise and consolidate Jersey’s private fund regimes for funds offered to up to 50 professional investors.

First Global Data has partnered with The Money Cloud (TMC) to add global foreign exchange (FX) comparison and purchasing services to its offering.
TMC considers itself the "Trivago of FX", currently providing FX comparisons between companies. TMC will integrate to First Global's mobile wallet to provide foreign exchange services to 140 countries.

Carey Olsen's Guernsey corporate lawyers have advised Pershing Square Holdings (PSH) in connection with the admission of its ordinary shares to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and commencement of trading on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
Effective 2 May 2017, investors are able to trade PSH shares on both the LSE and Euronext Amsterdam, where it has been listed since 2014. The listing on the Main Market of the LSE is expected to improve market access and to increase liquidity in PSH shares.

Neil Woodford-backed equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs has unveiled plans to launch a secondary market for investments made through the platform this summer.
Until now, the shares purchased by investors using crowdfunding platforms have been difficult to trade, meaning that they need to wait for an exit event such as an IPO or a sale of the business.
Whilst Seedrs has already seen portfolio companies Chapel Down and FreeAgent achieve success on the public markets, allowing those investors to sell their shares and realise a profit, the long term nature of this asset class means the vast majority remain illiquid
