Fund administration and middle office provider Apex Fund Services’ Luxembourg operation will be the first administration office in the group to use the Riva Transfer Agent (Riva TA) software solution.
The deployment of the Riva TA application at Apex Luxembourg will compliment Apex’s “Global Reach, Local Presence” service strategy by providing access to a rapid time-to-market administrative solution perfectly designed for the Luxembourg and European cross-border fund markets.
Apex says that both new and existing clients will benefit from the change.

Ipes, a provider of outsourced services to private equity firms in Europe, is providing administration services to OpCapita in the closing of its second fund, OpCapita Consumer Opportunities Fund II.
The fund closed at its hard cap of EUR350 million and attracted strong support from a global investor base.
Ipes will provide services to the fund from its London office.
Founded in 2006, OpCapita specialises in the retail, consumer and leisure industries. The firm invests in underperforming businesses that require expert help and support to make them stronger through better operational management.

Fund administration group Centaur is increasing its product offering and expanding its global footprint by opening an office in Bermuda.
It follows a recent move for Centaur’s European headquarters to larger offices in Dublin’s International Financial Services Centre to accommodate the tenfold increase in employees that Centaur has experienced over the past six years.
The firm now has offices in Dublin, New York, London, Bermuda, and Cayman.

McKay Brothers, a specialist in low latency networks, has secured an investment from trading firm IMC.
IMC will take a minority stake in McKay, providing capital for the improvement of McKay’s networks serving the latency sensitive trading community.
Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE) has updated its listing rules to cater for a wider range of investment business.
Chapter 7 of the exchange’s listing rules has until now been dedicated to investment funds but going forward it will be titled “investment vehicles”.
This reflects an expansion of the rules to encompass all types of investment vehicles, including open and closed ended funds but also real estate investment trusts (REITs) and unregulated investment companies, along with the associated legal entities.

Noerr has advised Isaria Wohnbau on its capital increase carried out in connection with its takeover by the US private equity investor Lone Star.
The cash raised amounted to around EUR53 million.
