Growth-oriented private equity firm Parthenon Capital Partners is to acquire acquire a majority stake in KBRA, a full-service global rating agency.
KBRA is the largest global credit rating agency founded in the wake of the global financial crisis.
KBRA has more than 400 employees across its five offices in the US and Europe. The company has issued over 51,000 ratings with nearly USD3 trillion in rated issuance since its inception in 2010. KBRA provides industry-leading ratings and research across all sectors from its Corporate, Financial, and Government (CFG) and Structured Finance units.
The company also delivers high-quality data, information, and
CIFC Asset Management (CIFC), an alternative credit specialist serving institutional investors globally, is to acquire LBC Credit Partners (LBC), a leading middle market direct lending platform.
CIFC’s acquisition of LBC follows a series of positive developments for the firm, which in 2021 grew its assets by more than USD5 billion. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close by year-end, have not been disclosed.
QueryLayer, a no-code privacy operations platform for digital enterprises, has raised EUR2 million in seed funding in a round led by Nauta Capital.
The company, which was founded last year in Valencia (Spain), has previously raised a pre-seed round from Seedcamp and Martin Henk, the co-founder of Pipedrive. During 2020, QueryLayer built the platform working closely with privacy and security executives of several scale-ups and now plans to use the seed funding to finance product, sales and marketing.

Forterro, a European provider of ERP software solutions to nearly 8,000 mid-market manufacturing and production companies, has acquired myfactory, a provider of cloud-based ERP software to more than 2,000 wholesalers and manufacturers in DACH.
The acquisition expands Forterro’s total addressable market in DACH, and nearly doubles the number of customers served by the group in the region.
myfactory will operate as a standalone business within Forterro. David Lauchenauer, CEO of myfactory, will continue overseeing the business in the role of general manager with the support of his existing management team.

TA Associates, a global growth private equity firm, has made a strategic growth investment in Adcubum AG, a Swiss health and property & casualty (P&C) insurance software provider, and tech11, an insurance software provider serving the P&C market in Germany and across Europe.
The investment will create a major software provider in the health and P&C markets in Europe, leveraging the momentum of both Adcubum and tech11. Financial terms of the transactions have not been disclosed.
Northlane Capital Partners (NCP) has sold its portfolio company Discovery Data Holdings (Discovery) to Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a provider of corporate governance and responsible investment solutions, market intelligence, fund services, and events and editorial content for institutional investors and corporations.

Discovery’s platform empowers asset and wealth management firms, insurance companies, financial technology companies, and service providers to understand their target markets and to identify, assess, and seize new opportunities.
Software and services investor Hg has made a significant investment in Pirum Systems (Pirum), a provider of post-trade automation and collateral management technology for the global securities finance industry.
Hg will share joint control with Pirum’s current backers Bowmark Capital, the technology and services investor, which invested in the company in 2019. The Pirum management team will also retain a significant stake in the business.
