Sullivan Street Partners, a UK-based mid-market buy-out specialist, has exited its investment in Tivoli with a sale to the Nurture Group, a provider of grounds maintenance, interior and exterior plant displays, winter gritting and green solutions for the corporate sector.
Headquartered in Cheshire, Tivoli services both public and private sectors across the UK, completing projects in grounds and winter maintenance, arboriculture, as well as interior plants and floristry. Sullivan Street acquired the business in 2018 through a complex carve-out of the trade and assets of the UK grounds maintenance division of ISS, one of the largest integrated facilities management businesses, and rebranded to Tivoli that same year.
According to a press statement, under Sullivan Street’s ownership, Tivoli has comprehensively upgraded its equipment base, introduced better systems and technology into its customer service provision and built up its extensive client portfolio considerably during this time.
Since acquisition this growth has been both organic and through M&A with the bolt-on acquisitions of Sodexo Horticultural Services in 2021 and Greenfingers Landscape in 2023, extending its breadth and depth of national coverage and service portfolio. The operational improvements made over the years have positioned Tivoli as the fourth largest player in the grounds maintenance and landscaping industry.
The company will continue operating under the Tivoli brand as part of the Nurture Group.
