UK lower mid-market investor, Tenzing, has appointed Rowena Murray to its investment team.
Murray joins Tenzing from Investec where she was a Director in the Investment Banking team. She joins the Tenzing team with immediate effect and will take responsibility for leading new investments and supporting the firm’s portfolio alongside Rob Jones and Mike Reynolds.
Following an early career as a corporate lawyer at a leading Australian law firm, Murray joined Investec, initially in Australia, then in 2005 in the UK. In her 13 years at the bank she provided strategic advice and led corporate transactions across a variety of sectors, including business services and technology. A particular career highlight was leading two IPOs onto the London Stock Exchange, which were both admitted to trading within a week of each other. She will bring her experience of working with boards ranging from entrepreneurial SMEs to leading FTSE 250 companies to the benefit of Tenzing’s new investments and portfolio companies.
Guy Gillon, co-founder and joint managing partner, Tenzing, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Rowena to the team. She brings an additional dimension to Tenzing’s offering through her work with listed businesses as well as entrepreneurs. She also has a sound understanding of mid-market private equity having worked alongside a number of firms in her advisory career.”
