The Barton Partnership, a strategic talent solutions firm specialising in value creation, strategy and transformation, has appointed Melissa Chester as Vice President, North America, to strengthen its offering for private equity clients.
Based in New York, Chester will focus on scaling the firm’s Independent Consulting platform and deepening relationships with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across North America. She joins from a major US-based talent solutions firm, where she served as Managing Vice President, Strategic Accounts, leading enterprise relationships with large-cap funds and supporting portfolio transformation initiatives through tailored consulting and talent solutions.
Chester will work closely with BJ Clinton, Senior Vice President and North American lead for Independent Consulting, and Harry Chamberlain, who heads the firm’s US Private Equity practice within Executive Search, ensuring an integrated service across interim, consulting, and permanent mandates.
Chester’s appointment follows a series of senior additions to The Barton Partnership’s North American business this year, including Doud and Clinton, as the firm continues to expand its footprint in private equity and portfolio value creation.
