Tikehau to acquire data centre tech advisor TTSP HWP

Tikehau Capital, the global alternative asset management group Tikehau Capital’s flagship private equity decarbonisation strategy, is to make a majority investment in German data centre technical advisory firm TTSP HWP.

TTSP HWP provides engineering, design and project management services for the development of large and complex data centres, acquiring the company from Adiuva Capital and Athanor Capital Partners.

With 2024 revenues exceeding €60m and over 100 employees, TTSP HWP serves major global developers. Originally founded in 1991 as an architectural firm, TTSP HWP has focused solely on data centres since 2019, leveraging strong industry relationships to achieve a 70% revenue CAGR over the past three years.

As an enabler of efficient and low-carbon data centres, TTSP HWP plays an essential role in defining energy-efficient and decarbonised designs for large and complex projects.

According to a press statement, Tikehau Capital’s investment aims to support the growth of the company from a Germany-focused business to a pan-European player. The current managing partners, who hold a significant stake in the company, intend to reinvest substantially and remain actively involved, reinforcing their commitment to the next phase of strong growth.

Tikehau Capital’s dedicated private equity decarbonisation strategy focuses on investing in companies engaged in global electrification, resource and energy efficiency, low-carbon inputs, and adaptation to climate change, with the aim of supporting players across the value chain whose products and services are critical to reducing the economy’s carbon footprint.

Tikehau Capital was assisted by DC Advisory (M&A and debt advisor), Bain & Company (commercial advisor), Willkie Farr & Gallagher (legal advisor), PwC (financial, tax and ESG advisor), Howden (insurance advisor) and The Blunomy (impact advisor).

TTSP HWP and its shareholders were assisted by Harris Williams (financial advisor), LEK (commercial advisor), Covington & Burling (legal advisor) and Deloitte (accounting and tax advisor).

The completion of the transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of pre-closing conditions.
