TSG sells stake in Joe Hudson’s Collision Center

TSG Consumer (TSG), a private equity firm specialising in consumer brands, has sold its majority stake in collision repair firm Joe Hudson’s Collision Center to Boyd Group Services Inc, one of the largest operators of collision repair centres in North America. The transaction, valued at $1.3bn, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory requirements.

During TSG’s partnership, JHCC more than doubled its footprint to 258 locations across 18 states, expanding its presence primarily in the South-eastern US and becoming one of the fastest-growing collision repair operators in the country. The firm’s past investments include Chemical Guys, Mavis Tire, Meguiar’s, PowerStop, Rough Country, and Super Star Car Wash.

Ropes & Gray LLP is serving as legal counsel to both TSG Consumer and Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin SENCRL, srl also providing legal representation to Joe Hudson’s Collision Center. Harris Williams LLC and BofA Securities are acting as financial advisors to Joe Hudson’s Collision Center.

RBC Capital Markets is acting as exclusive financial advisor and Massumi + Consoli LLP and Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP are acting as legal advisors to Boyd. Boyd has obtained committed financing from the chartered bank affiliates of RBC Capital Markets, National Bank Capital Markets and TD Securities, Inc.
