Waterland Private Equity is considering a sale of artificial intelligence consultancy Xebia, with the business potentially valued at €1bn or more, according to a report by Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter.
The Dutch mid-market buyout firm, which originally acquired Xebia in 2020, is understood to be working with Houlihan Lokey on the process, although discussions are at an early stage and Waterland could opt to retain the asset for longer.
Founded in the Netherlands in 2001, Xebia provides AI, cloud, data consultancy, and software engineering services. The group employs more than 5,500 people across 28 offices globally and counts Google Cloud, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Salesforce among its strategic partners.
