Wisconsin approves USD4.4bn in fresh alternatives commitments

Fresh capital commitments across hedge funds, private equity and real estate of USD4.4 billion have been approved by The State of Wisconsin Investment Board in Madison, manager of state retirement assets and other portfolios, according to a report by AlternativesWatch.

Some of the USD166 billion fund’s biggest allocations are in its alpha portfolio, which includes hedge fund strategies, with overall commitments of over USD2 million. 

Newly approved alternatives managers and funds include Arrowstreet, Brevan Howard SOP, TCW, Prudential, Four World and HSCM Jet, says the report.
