Veritas Capital has been in talks to sell a 50% stake in healthcare technology company Cotiviti to KKR, in a deal that would value the business at up to $11bn, according to a report by the Financial Times.
The report quotes three people briefed on the matter as saying that the deal could be clinched in the next few weeks, would return billions of dollars to Veritas investors after a similar deal with Caryle for the company fell through, in April this year.
The potential deal would have both companies hold 50% stake, an is meant to provide the original investors in Cotiviti with a full cash return on their investment and avoid a continuation fund, the report added.
