Growth equity firm General Atlantic has named Mike McTighe, chairman of Pace, Volex Group and WYG Group, as a special adviser to the firm.
In this role, McTighe will provide strategic counsel to GA and its portfolio companies with a focus on the European region, supporting the firm’s active value-added approach to partnering with growth companies.

McTighe currently serves as chairman of the companies Pace, Volex Group, and WYG Group, and is a senior independent director of Betfair. He is also a member of the board of directors of the UK’s Office of Communications, and a member of the turnaround panel at Lloyds Bank Group.
McTighe previously served as chairman and chief executive of Carrier1 International and before that as executive director and chief executive, global operations of Cable & Wireless.
