Wedge Partners has appointed Chris Crespi as a networking and communications equipment analyst.

Crespi received his BSEE from the University of California at Davis, and then pursued a career as a design engineer at Avantek, Inc. and Hewlett Packard in the area of Microwave Electronics. After six years of designing components and subassemblies for various radar and communications systems, Crespi attended The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Upon graduation, Crespi joined Montgomery Securities (later Bank of America Securities) as an analyst in the wireless and wire line telecommunications equipment sectors. He later served at Deutsche Bank/Alex Brown. Institutional Investor Magazine named Crespi as a "Big Hitter," and he was voted the most "Trustworthy Analyst" in his sector by Greenwich Associates.
Recently, Crespi has served as a member of the boards of directors of a number of high tech companies including Finisar, Optium, Sirenza Microdevices and Ubiquiti Networks. Crespi currently serves on the board of Ubiquiti Networks as a member of the audit and compensation committees.
