Apollo closing in on €1.4bn acquisition of Forvia interior systems unit

Apollo Global Management is close to acquiring the automotive interiors division of Forvia SE in a deal valued at approximately €1.4bn ($1.6bn), according to a report by Bloomberg citing unnamed people familiar with the discussions.

The transaction is not yet finalised and remains subject to change, the people said, noting that talks are ongoing and could still break down. Apollo and Forvia both reportedly declined to comment.

Forvia’s interiors business produces components such as door panels and centre consoles for vehicle manufacturers. The unit forms part of a broader portfolio of automotive technologies within the French supplier, which also operates in areas including automated driving systems and energy management.

The potential sale aligns with Forvia’s “Ignite” strategy, under which the company is streamlining its operations and refocusing on higher-growth segments.

Formed in 2022 through the merger of Faurecia and Hella, Forvia has seen its shares rise more than 50% over the past year in Paris trading, giving the group a market capitalisation of roughly €2bn.
