ATG Media creates eight full time positions

ATG Media, a provider of information and services to the auction industry backed by Matrix Private Equity Partners, has increased its headcount to 58 full time members of staff in the last three months.

Eight new roles, six internal promotions and a growing business have created 14 job vacancies.

The business has experienced significant growth since Matrix Private Equity Partners backed the management buyout of ATG Media from Daily Mail and General Trust 18 months ago.

The hires include a new board member, Richard Lewis, who joins ATG Media as business development director. Having spent ten years at DMG world media running businesses and exhibitions in the UK, the US and Dubai, Lewis is an experienced marketeer and knows the ATG Media business well. He previously worked for ATG as marketing director from 2000-2002.

The progressive media business has also appointed Jeremy Langworthy as head of IT and websites and Mike Sparks as a sales executive. Sarah Grimmond, previously operations manager, has been promoted to a new role as business relationship director.

The new hires and promotions are heavily weighted towards the online auctions business and business development departments, reflecting the strong growth that the management team expects to come from new partnerships and the company’s increased range of online offerings.

Anne Somers (pictured), chief executive of ATG Media, says: “The support and financial backing that Matrix Private Equity has given ATG Media since our MBO has enabled us to take the business up a gear. We have made a run of new hires and we are excited to be recruiting so many bright enthusiastic individuals. Also, we’re delighted that we’ve promoted six current staff further demonstrating that ATG Media offers great career development.”
