Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC (Blue Wolf), the New York-based private equity firm, has named Charles P Miller (pictured) as a partner. Miller will be based in Blue Wolf’s New York office and will be responsible for originating opportunities and managing portfolio companies. He will also serve as Blue Wolf’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Since 1997, Miller has been an equity partner at Patton Boggs LLP, a Washington, DC-based AmLaw 100 international law firm, advising institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions including financings, recapitalisations, restructurings and reorganisations. Since 2005, Mr. Miller acted as counsel to Blue Wolf on virtually all of its investments.
Miller has served as the Deputy Managing Partner of Patton Boggs and as an ex-officio member of the firm’s Executive Committee since 2007. From 2004-2007, he was Chairman of the firm’s Business Department and from 2001-2004, he was the Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas office.
Miller has invested in numerous private companies and has served as a director of public and private companies during his career. He currently serves as the Chairman of Paranet Solutions, LLC, an IT services company headquartered in Dallas, Texas (www.paranet.com) and as a director of Value-Added Communications, Inc., a Plano, Texas-based inmate phone services company (vaci.com).

Miller, 50, received his BA, cum laude, from West Virginia University in 1983 and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from West Virginia University College of Law in 1986. He also serves as a director for several non-profit organisations, including the CapitalSource Foundation, PACE and the Plano Education Foundation.
