Crestbridge opens Dublin office and makes senior hires to launch Irish operations

Crestbridge, a private equity and real estate administration specialist, has opened its latest office in Ireland and hired investment funds expert, Andrea Lennon as Head of Funds, Ireland.

Crestbridge, a private equity and real estate administration specialist, has opened its latest office in Ireland and hired investment funds expert, Andrea Lennon as Head of Funds, Ireland.

The announcement comes just a few months after the firm opened its New Jersey office, and further assists the firm’s ability to support US investment into Europe. With the recent modernisation of the Irish Investment Limited Partnership legislation adding to Ireland’s already established alternative investment funds hub, providing greater flexibility to investment managers and investors seeking to establish and invest in alternative asset strategies, the Irish office further expands Crestbridge’s multi-jurisdictional service offering.

Crestbridge is authorised to provide Corporate Services in Ireland and aims to provide fund administration services shortly, subject to regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. With Crestbridge’s extensive private equity and real estate expertise, the firm will initially focus on supporting clients with multi-jurisdictional structures, applying consistently high standards through its integrated business model. Crestbridge now has over 400 people working across eight offices providing end-to-end specialist administration solutions to global asset managers, institutional investors, and family offices.

Lennon, Director, Head of Fund Services, Ireland, has over 20 years’ experience in the investment funds industry working across the full end-to-end value chain, including product development and life cycle. She has worked with asset managers and asset owners across Europe, the US and Asia, and is focused on providing a culture of service excellence to clients.

She is joined by Áine Hickey, as Head of Risk & Compliance, Ireland. Hickey has over 13 years’ financial services experience across fund administration, asset management, banking and capital markets with consulting experience across a range of industry sectors, primarily investment funds, asset management and insurance.

Lennon says: “This is another significant milestone for Crestbridge and an excellent strategic fit with the other parts of the Institutional Services portfolio as Ireland is a leading investment fund centre and a major domicile for the cross-border distribution of funds into the EEA and global markets. I’m thrilled to be joining the firm at this exciting time.”

Michael Johnson, Group Head of Institutional Services, adds: “Recent changes with the introduction of the new ILP law makes Ireland an even more attractive domicile for investors and managers and one that directly aligns with our strong Private Equity and Real Estate expertise. We’re confident that the new regime, along with Ireland’s reputation as a centre of excellence for domiciled and non-domiciled funds, will support delivery of the agile administrative solutions that our clients demand. This is the start of yet another exciting chapter for Crestbridge and one that complements our wider services from Luxembourg, London and the US for PE and RE managers.”
