UK relocations and storage businesses, Doree Bonner Holdings Limited, has secured a GBP multi-million debt finance package from Connection Capital, the specialist private client investment business. The package will enable Doree Bonner to refinance its existing senior secured debt facilities, and provide working and growth capital as it pursues a value-enhancing acquisition strategy, with several targets already identified.
Connection Capital says that the deal highlights that SMEs are increasingly considering private capital as a suitable provider for their loan financing needs, and that demand from private investors and family offices for direct debt investments, which provide regular income, continue to grow.
Twin Brook Capital Partners (Twin Brook), the middle market direct lending subsidiary of Angelo Gordon, has committed over USD3.3 billion to private equity sponsors in support of healthcare transactions, including over USD1.3 billion last year alone. In 2019, Twin Brook completed 24 healthcare transactions across 14 subsectors, bringing the Firm’s total number of healthcare transactions closed to more than 80 since inception.
Twin Brook served as lead agent on all the healthcare transactions it supported in 2019, which included 14 new platform financings and 10 add-on financings.

Graycliff Partners has sold 901D Holdings (901D) to Curtiss-Wright Corporation for USD132 million. 901D is a leading designer and manufacturer of mission-critical integrated electronic systems, subsystems and ruggedised shipboard enclosure solutions supporting every major US Navy shipbuilding program.
Since being acquired in 2016, Graycliff has worked to carve out 901D as a fully independent company from its prior ownership within a conglomerate of related businesses. ARQIS has advised the listed Swiss technology group Oerlikon on the acquisition of D-Coat, a German supplier of diamond coating technologies. The Parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.The acquisition is a further step in Oerlikon’s strategy to strengthen its surface coating portfolio. Day-to-day operations at the existing D-Coat site as well as business and cooperation with D-Coat customers and partners will continue as before, but now with D-Coat as part of Oerlikon Balzers.

UK mid-market private equity investor Livingbridge is re-investing as a minority shareholder in Sykes Holiday Cottages (Sykes), a UK-basedindependent holiday home provider with over 25 years’ experience in the market.Livingbridge first invested in Sykes in January 2015, when the business managed 5,000 properties in the UK and Ireland. Livingbridge successfully sold Sykes to private equity firm Vitruvian Partners in October 2019, at which time it managed over 17,500 properties, having successfully delivered market leading organic growth and completed 12 acquisitions underpinned by a digital transformation strategy.

Private equity firm MCI Group’s MCI.EuroVentures fund is selling a portion of its shares in Netrisk, an online insurance brokerage in Hungary, to global growth private equity firm TA Associates for EUR55 million (PLN 235 million). As a result of the partial exit, MCI.EuroVentures (buyout fund of MCI Group) has realised a return on investment of 3.0x CoC and 73 per cent IRR.

The transaction will enable the firm’s executive team to significantly accelerate its growth strategy, pursue strategic M&A targets, invest further in the firm’s technology platform and expand Options’ reach in key financial centres globally. No further terms of the transaction were disclosed.
