Healthcare specialist private equity investor Apposite Capital’s dentistry group, Riverdale Healthcare, has acquired Eston Dental Practice in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, further expanding in the North East of England. HIG Growth Partners (HIG), the growth capital investment affiliate of HIG Capital, has invested in the Series D growth financing for Passport Labs, a mobility management platform. Founded in 2010 and based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Passport serves nearly 1,000 clients worldwide, helping them solve mobility challenges with solutions for parking, enforcement, permits, transit, and micro-mobility. Passport processes more than 100 million curbside transactions each year, resulting in more than USD1.5 billion processed to date. Cinesite announced has secured investment from Gryphion Capital Investments along with new banking facilities from Barclays and NatWest which amount to USD112 million. Working together Barclays and NatWest will initially provide Cinesite with up to USD52 million for general funding and revolving credit facilities. The independent studio group has a further USD20m in future flexible facilities to deal with acquisition or expansion. Funds advised by Apax Partners are to acquire Coalfire, a provider of cybersecurity advisory and assessment services, from The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) and The Chertoff Group. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to be completed in early 2020, subject to regulatory approval, have not been disclosed. HTBA is a Spanish manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, flavourings and sweeteners for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries, as well as ingredients for human and animal feed with a total sales of EUR51 million in 2018. Meten and its digital platform Likeshuo are a market leader in English Learning Training (ELT) in China. Middle market private equity firm One Equity Partners (OEP) has made a significant minority investment in Nexion, an automotive solutions business, focused on garage equipment, diagnostics, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) aftermarket solutions. Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed. Great Point Media (Great Point), a London-based media and investment group and US institutional fund manager MC Credit Partners (MCCP), have partnered to finance film and television programming globally. Funds managed by MCCP will invest up to USD100 million in the partnership and Great Point has already committed a minimum of USD80 million. It represents the first institutional investment for Great Point’s global project finance fund and will be used to finance larger-scale media projects.
