Anvil International (Anvil), a North American manufacturer and supplier of products that connect, hang and support piping systems, has acquired the assets of FlexHead Industries and SprinkFLEX from Atkore International Group Inc. Anvil is a portfolio company of middle market private equity firm One Equity Partners (OEP).   Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   Headquartered in Holliston, Massachusetts, FlexHead Industries and SprinkFLEX manufacture adjustable steel hoses, brackets and fittings for fire safety systems used in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, government buildings and other facilities. Tikehau Capital today announced it has supported Apax Partners in its acquisition of Business Integration Partners (“Bip”), an Italian consulting firm with international presence.  Headquartered in Milan, Bip is a primary Italian management consulting firm providing business integration and IT / digital transformation services to support international blue chip companies in the research and adoption of technological innovation. The company, founded in 2003, has delivered strong growth over the year and posted revenues of EUR160 million in 2017. Apposite Capital, a private equity firm with an exclusive focus on healthcare, has teamed with management to acquire OrthoD Group from The Riverside Company. OrthoD is a specialist manufacturer and distributor of medical products and implants for joint reconstruction, sport medicine, surgical products and infection control applications. Financial details have not been disclosed.   Apposite Capital sees significant potential in supporting management in further building OrthoD’s export channels and in further commercialising OrthoD’s sport medicine products. Three Hills Capital Partners (THCP) has made an investment in Sigma Retail Solutions (Sigma), a provider of outsourced solutions to blue chip retailers across the UK, Europe and Australia. UgenTec, a medical technology company that has developed an AI-driven polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis and workflow software, has closed a USD9.3 million (EUR7.5 million) funding round. UgenTec automates and standardises high-throughput molecular diagnostics, particularly PCR. PCR analysis is a widely-adopted method for analysing DNA. SK Capital, a private investment firm focused on the chemicals, specialty materials, and pharmaceuticals sectors, completed its previously announced acquisition of the Fire Safety and Oil Additives businesses of Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL). Midaxo, a Finnish developer of a cloud M&A platform, has closed a EUR12.9m funding round comprising EUR10.3m for the company and EUR2.6m for the existing shareholders – led by major growth investor Idinvest Partners, with the participation of the existing investors Tesi and EOC Capital. This B round brings Midaxo’s total funding to EUR18.6 million and follows a period of sustained and rapid growth.
