Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) has secured a minority investment by growth equity investor Summit Partners.
IDT’s founder Dr Joseph Walder will remain the company’s majority owner.
Additional terms of the investment have not been disclosed.
IDT is the world’s largest manufacturer of custom nucleic acid products. The company supplies scientists with synthetic DNA and RNA sequences, serving the academic research, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Goldman Sachs and Vestar Capital Partners are to acquire Hearthside Food Solutions, the largest independent bakery and contract food manufacturer in North America, from Wind Point Partners.
Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014, have not been disclosed. Goldman Sachs and Vestar will own equal stakes in the company.

Private equity investment firm Zoyi Capital has invested in Pink Mary, a manufacturer and distributor of high-end women’s fashion in China.
The investment represents the first deal for Zoyi Capital’s Fund I and will see the firm take a controlling interest in Pink Mary with the company’s founders retaining significant stake.
“Zoyi Capotal has identified strong momentum in the high-end segment of the lady apparel market in China and we believe Pink Mary is uniquely positioned in terms of design and style to capture this growth,” says Andrew Kuo, founding partner and CEO of Zoyi Capital.
Invenias, a provider of software solutions to the executive search and recruitment sector, has completed a follow-on funding round led by MMC Ventures, bringing the total raised in this round to USD2m.
In addition, Mark Farmer, the UK tech veteran who co-founded Cramer and Eden Ventures, joins the company as chairman and continues to invest privately in the business.

Private equity firm Roark Capital Group has acquired Central Jersey Waste and Recycling and its sister entities, Premier Food Waste Recycling and Central Repairs (collectively CJW).
CJW is a provider of waste and recycling services to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets.
Headquartered in Ewing, New Jersey, CJW provides non-hazardous solid waste collection, hauling and processing services to nearly 30 municipalities and approximately 1,000 commercial customers. The company also collects and transports organic and food waste products for commercial and residential customers.

Private equity firm Thoma Bravo is to acquire TravelClick, a provider of revenue generating cloud-based solutions for the USD500bn global hospitality industry.
Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire TravelClick from Genstar Capital for USD930m. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014.

Based in Marietta, Ohio, ProFusion Industries has established a long-standing customer base of Fortune 1,000 companies through manufacturing capabilities that provide engineered solutions under a wide range of demanding environments and conditions.
In particular, the company's product portfolio includes transit matting, protective linings, custom design specialty film products and various printing services.
