Private equity manager Maven Capital Partners has led a GBP4.6m investment in IT support and services business ISN Solutions.
Established as a start-up in 1999, the business now generates sales close to GBP6m through the provision of consultancy, project management and outsourced IT services to a niche client base operating in the upstream exploration and production (E&P) oil and gas sector.

Water Street Healthcare Partners and JLL Partners have merged their portfolio companies CCBR-SYNARC and BioClinica.
The combination creates a global provider of specialty outsourced clinical services.
JLL Partners and Water Street invested in BioClinica and CCBR-SYNARC in 2013 and reached an agreement earlier this year to combine the two companies.
The firms recruited Jeffrey McMullen, an executive with 40 years of experience in the drug development industry, to serve as chairman.

Houlihan Lokey, the international investment bank, has acquired ArchPoint Partners, an independent investment banking firm that provides M&A and private capital raising advisory services to clients in the technology sector.
The transaction, which closed on 7 March, enhances Houlihan Lokey’s global coverage and capabilities for clients across the technology sector.
Founded in 2009, ArchPoint focuses exclusively on the technology sector. The firm advises numerous companies on financings and business combinations with key sector private equity firms as well as large-cap infrastructure and application software vendors including IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Google, Yahoo! and Symantec.

A fund managed by Blackstone on behalf of its private equity investors is to acquire a majority stake in Accuvant, a provider of information security solutions and services.
Accuvant management and existing shareholder Sverica International will invest alongside Blackstone in the transaction.
Blackstone’s investment will enable Accuvant to accelerate its pace of expansion and enable the management team to deploy additional capital and resources for a broader roll-out of its product- and service-based solution offerings.

Euronet Worldwide is to acquire UK-based HiFX, a provider of online initiated international payments and foreign exchange services, for GBP145m or approximately USD242m.
Twenty five per cent of the purchase price will be paid in shares of Euronet stock and the balance in cash.
Euronet's existing revolving credit facility will be used to fund a portion of the cash consideration.
The acquisition allows Euronet to offer an account-to-account international payment service to high-income individuals and small-to-medium sized businesses, complementing Euronet's existing consumer-to-consumer money transfer business.

Palatine Private Equity portfolio company Chase Templeton has completed the first in a new series of acquisitions with the purchase of Health Assist.
Health Assist, based in Kenilworth, specialises in company private medical insurance (PMI), employee benefits and group risk.
The acquisition will add GBP1.9m in annual premium income (API) to Chase Templeton’s business division.
The Health Assist business will be integrated with Chase Templeton’s business operations based in Blackburn. The firm employs nearly 60 staff and also has an office specialising in individual and family health insurance in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Rcapital, the London based private investment company, has bought Shopacheck Financial Services (SFS), the home collected credit business, from Welcome Financial Services.
The new deal will see SFS merge with Rcapital's existing home collected credit business, Morses Club Limited (MCL).
The revenue of the newly formed business is expected to be in the region of GBP80m.

The buyer was property company Klövern, and the purchase price amounted to SEK3.8bn.
The sale is the largest transaction completed in Sweden thus far in 2014.
The deal includes the Arenan 2, 3, 6 and 8 properties, as well as the Startboxen 3 property in Solna.
